Oh yeah, read through it a few times already!

I sent an email to friend and said we actually got one up on the US Pontiac guys in 1966. We could order 49 more horsepower than they could with our L72 425 horse 427!

Had the identical car as a driver for a summer about 25 years ago. Frame was shot, sold for parts that fall.......cry

Here's my son about to wash it that summer...smile

Beauty shot in the inspection area at the end of the production line!  They don't get any newer than that!

I see this image and think of how exciting the owner of that exact car must have been when they went to pick it up. I would have been shaking.

To my thinking, cars kind of lost that appeal after about 1970.

Agree mark. About the only thing people shake about when buying a car is the car payments...cry...and that's not very exciting...no

Yup.  Couldn't agree more.  Nowadays there isn't as much to get excited about for sure.  It's more like which of these 4 wheeled appliances would be the most useful to me... and then shudder because you have to pay 30 or 40 grand for it.

Exactly Mark... That shaking would be for an entirely different reason today...what have I done agreeing to 800 a month for 5 years, lol!
