Just bumping this up in case you don't know what you want for Christmas.......!
I was talking to our member who just bought a Beaumont and he was not familiar with the assembly manuals, and a lot of people don't know about them. Rather than explain just to him, I figured I'd explain it here. They were used on the GM assembly line when the car was built. Many different areas are covered, sometimes showing where to drill holes to install trim/options/accessories and also where to route wiring harnesses etc. Wiring diagrams are also part of these manuals.
Awesome, thanks Carl. Just sent a PM, I especially like the wiring diagrams for chasing down gremlins. Many of our cars had accessories etc added over the years so nice to sort through whats factory and aftermarket.
Checked the mail today and received my 2 envelopes containing my 69 Beaumont assembly manual.
Arrived in perfect shape and the quality is even better than I expected!! Thanks so much Carl for taking the time to save and reproduce these invaluable resources for our cars!!
If anyone owns, or is even slightly considering purchasing one of the cars that he has the manuals available for, you couldnt go wrong picking up one of these, a great deal at twice the price!!
Just bumping this up because there are likely still people who don't know that assembly manuals are available for 64-69 Beaumont and 64-70 full size Canadian Pontiac. I had someone ask about installing a factory tach in a 68 Beaumont. That is one of the many things this manual has good detail on, including showing the size and location of the hole in the firewall to pass the wire through goes from the coil to the tach.
