Thanks Todd for this, now that's a car story. Beautiful car that brings back found memories. A friend had one, cousin had a T/A and me in my Monte SS all 84-86's. Plenty of rides together up and down Hwy 400 to the beach.... fast cars and pretty girls, where does the time go?

I'd take it cow path and crop touring.

Flashback: In 1985, I turned wrenches at a service station. A silver spoon kid also worked there and Daddy bought him a brand spanking new black IROC Z...

Silver spoon boy twisted his ankle one day. He couldn't push or hold the clutch pedal, so he asked me to drive him to the emergency room. OK. I drove his car with respect for about 20 seconds... until cry baby started wailing (like he was missing a limb) and yelled at me to STEP ON IT. Say no more. I delivered him to the clinic while giving a clinic on power-shifting, redlines and black lines. Ha!

A friend of mine bought a brand new 1987 Iroc-drove it home from the dealership and it is still parked in the same spot in his garage under a car cover-it has 17km on it-told him with so many built he was nuts -it won't go up in value he should of drove it and enjoyed it-to each his own-stay safe everyone.
Keep on Cruising!

This story reminds me of this Corvette , although the IROC survived in much better condition.

They actually were a really fun bodystyle. Although they were of debatable quality, I'll never discount them. In 88 I had a White/Black 84 (non IROC) Z28 with a 305 QJet, 5 speed. Super fun.

Still have fond memories (Just like Ray) of cruising 80's style with my ex in the zedder many times up to the Grand Bend/Huron area.

A friend of mine had an 85 or 86 Z28. We'd cruise the drag sporting our mullets. The girls loved Camaros.
