Ok, hands up all guys who put Chinese made parts in their classic car..............that's what I thought.

A few years ago I watched a news item about the Chinese manufacturing market. The factory owner would take contracts for manufacturing from all over the world. He claimed the parts manufactured in China were getting bad press due to companies sending substandard specifications. He said if the specifications were crap then the parts were crap. Reputable companies would send well engineered blueprints and engineering documents and would get quality items from China.

Good point, Paul. I suspect there are many sides to stories like this. One thing that I have been wondering is how factories can keep up quality standards when they are putting out product as fast as they can to try to catch up to demand. I was thinking of it more in terms of the ventilators - especially from companies whose main work isn't medical equipment - but I suppose it would apply to masks, etc., as well.
