ok this has been my project through this epidemic its a 79 monza spyder i picked it up off the second owner 95k on it sat in a barn last on road in 98 came with 4 sp trans clutch changed to 11 inch and a modified truck bell housing origional 2 pedal car came with all parts to go back but no need for that lol
so far got a 350 in there with the 11 inch clutch had to use a mini starter, very tight under there used the stock exhaust manifolds of course the 350 dipstick hole is not in the correct location pulled the tank full of old gas and installed a new fuel pump a mechanical one does not fit waiting for a oil sender to come monza unique

yea gravity always wins lol ever had a car come off the trailer carl?
Yup, thankfully right in a residential area at a couple of miles per hour. Scary stuff. All I could think about is what if that had happened 5 minutes late when we were out on the highway....

so i think when i take the pix with my phone im hlding it wrong i flip them on the computer then they still come out upside down im taking a break now
Tim, if the image shows right side up when you open it on your PC, try giving the file a new name, then try downloading again to CP.
Basically, don't use the name or code that the image downloaded with. That orientation from the phone will follow that image everywhere with the original name.
If the image shows up up sideways or upside down when you open it on your PC, then open the image on your desktop, click on "Edit and Create", - Edit, - rotate image, - save as ( choose new name), save. It'll then keep that new orientation for good.

Hey Tim, That looks like a great little project and yes that engine compartment with a V8 is tighter than a mouse's ear.
I had headers on mine and they were Hooker Headers and not cheap, I recall somewhere around $400 back in the day. The headers were for a 350 Monza since in Cali the 350 was offered due to the smaller engine not meeting emissions. They were built with several slip joints on each side otherwise you wouldn't get them in. I believe to this day that these headers on this car more than anything made it sit up and beg. The stock manifolds are just cast iron logs. Hooker still makes headers for the 350 Monza but at almost $900 US dare I say you probably only paid that much for the entire project!
went to put rad in with electric fan on the front today and yea right had to remove alternator and p/s pump and battery to geter in there looks like its all together but my spagetti dipstick tube didnt work so im gona have to cut a hole in the pan and run one through where it will work got brakes today to boot tomorrow will be dipstick day then hit the key

yes about the same as me piilled outa the driveway 5mph and off my 65 impala came still dont know what or how but i sure remember the feeling when it ejected.
After it happened to me I went out and bought axle straps with the looks, ratchet straps with the spring loaded safety catch that clicks onto those straps. Even if they come loose, they can't come undone. And as an added security, I add a chain with a loadbinder (with the handle wired down) at the front so it can't roll off the back even if the other stuff all falls off. The front of my trailer has a rail across it about a foot high so it can't roll off the front.
Years ago after I came home from a POCI convention there was a picture in the Smoke Signals of a guy who had been at the convention. He was towing a really nice 64 GTO convert on his trailer, towing with a Grand Prix, about a 1983-1984 model. Yes, the tow vehicle was too light, no question. Somehow ended up rolling the whole thing and the trailer was on it's wheels with the GTO still strapped down. He had done a great job strapping it for sure, at least it prevented the car from coming loose and crashing in to someone else. I've never forgotten seeing that.
