1957 Chevy 150 2-door coupe. Maroon exterior with light grey interior. Unmodified survivor car. 65,700 original MILES. Original inline 6 cylinder ‘Blue Flame’ motor and automatic transmission. Previous owner had the car for 40+ years. Power brakes, power steering. Car was fully restored about 10 years ago. Todd, thank you very much and i appreciate the consideration here. Yes i love all things 1957 Chevy but i draw the line at that sick paint colour. What is that, moron or maroon or mayroon, i do not know and i do not want to know. That colour is sick sick sick and not in a good way. Cheers everyone. biggrin

Looks like Canyon Coral George, not a very common colour to see back in the day.

My Dad had an India Ivory and Larkspur Blue Bel Air which is a bit of a cliche combination but nice.

I'm a big fan of the two tone for 567s, even on the one fifty. I sold this one four years ago when I started my downsizing. I also like the two tone treatment on the 55-57 Chevys. But some solid colors also suit these cars. I looked at a silver 57 210 last year and it looked very sharp over a black interior.

 Unmodified survivor car. 65,700 original MILES. Car was fully restored about 10 years ago. 

Am I the only one who is wondering about this? I don't really think my car is considered a survivor any more because of the engine and transmission swap. Doesn't a survivor pretty much have to have the big 3 in as-built condition, paint, powertrain and interior?

With that aside, as much as 57 Chevys don't do a lot for me, I think this one looks pretty sharp!

If only it was a 57 Canadian Pontiac...

Yours is probably a modified survivor. Original condition survives, but has period correct modified drive train. However you describe it. it is a cool car. And if you like it that way then that's the end of the story. However you enjoy it is what it needs to be.Just my opinion.

This is no where near Canyon Coral, this more like a Maroon pukey kind of colour. The first thing i would do is repaint the car then put the small 57 hub caps on it.
