#2 is a tool used to adjust valves on a flathead engine ...the flats are used to hold the lifter

while turning the hex head bolt on the lifter while  using feeler guages

I remember that second tool from the early eighties. I worked with a guy that had one. I think it was for removing wiper arms? I cant remember for sure, but I do remember thinking that it was something I didnt need.
