GM / Chev Badge Paint Color Match Question

I have a question on matching the GM / Chev badge color for a 78 C10.  I have posted a few pics on the Silverado and just posted rebuilding the tilt steering using SEM trim black paint and today I am looking at the side badges.

The truck has been well baked by the sun so much the yellow mustard paint on the front badge and side badges are completely gone.  However, the badge it self is in perfect condition, sans yellow mustard color.

So, the question is, does anyone have suggestion on a product or color match to get that mustard color?  I would like to paint the missing color and utilize my original badges.

Here is my badge and a colored badges that I pulled off the web for reference. My pic is not that good but there is no paint on it what so ever. I am hoping someone has a good suggestion.  Thanks!  Jake

It looks like the yellowish colour was the accent paint used on the 1977 pickup side moldings, which for that one year were painted in "ochre" as they officially referred to it as.

The style of nameplate you have was used from 1975 - 80. Take a look at the 1975 brochure samples for the various series nameplates and see that different accent colours were used on different trim levels.

It appears that the top of the line Silverado was left bright. You may actually be over-restoring it by trying to paint it.

Interesting brochure, I wasn't expecting this as all the sites like Classic Truck parts show the badge with yellow or "ochre".      https://www.classicparts.com/1975-80-Fender-Emblem-Chevrolet-Silverado-10-Pair/productinfo/59%2D231/

But, in the brochure that you posted, is the the "10" ochre?  It looks sort of yellow.  I wonder what the 78 brochure looked liked and if it was similar to the 75 trim?

I only have one badge off the vehicle and it is in storage so I will have to take a good look at the other side.  Perhaps I am not quite correct in assuming it is sun bleached to nothing?

O.K., so I dug out my '77 brochure & scanned something in high-res in order to see the nameplate up close. Well it appears the '77 did have ochre paint on the Silverado namplate. I believe the nameplates were unchanged for '78 but the paint fill in the side moldings reverted to black. The '78 brochure online is too small & poor resolution to be able to tell what they showed as being the '78 style.

Anyone have a suggestion on a paint product that can reasonably match the yellow in the name plate?
