Wish mine was that big (sic). The UK bound cars were built without heaters then fitted with tiny Lucas units by the dealer over here. In a convertible it doesn't even take the edge off................

.....takes at least five miles before the windscreen heat comes through and if you want that to have any effect it has to be windscreen only!

Does anyone know if this will fit a 68 Impala? Or a 63 or 66 Impala?

Thx

Looks like Rock Auto only lists this as being for a 63-64 Big Car.

A body 64-67.

While it does look and list as being the same in dimension to the 65-70 Big car - non air core (2 1/2 x 6 3/8 x 9 1/2), the tubes appear to have different angles to them.

You have to be careful because I know there are some differences in cores between US and Canadian made cars on identical models.

There are both "big" non-AC cores out there and "small" non-AC cores out there, both being touted for replacement use in a '64 Impala/Parisienne. Just make sure you order by dimension.

Show-cars list only one heater core, 63-68 Chevy, with dimensions and pictures, sure looks like this one. Its a without air.

show-cars.com/product/851

I have found this vendor to be very exact. I have my 63 non air heater out, will check it too.

I hope this link works. It's the dimensions for the core.

Just confirmed this in the Canadian Chevrolet parts book. It lists for both Canadian and US Chevrolet full size. 63-66 full size Chevrolet without A/C uses a different core on the Canadian car vs. the US car.

Wonder why Carl? Maybe Canadas core is larger and provides more heat? The thickness and width seems consistent with the 63 Parisienne but the length maybe agrees with what Darryl said, there is a long one and a short one?

In x frames, the us chevs had a stock heater and an optional deluxe heater, Canadian cars had the deluxe heater as the stock heater. That may be the difference in cores from Cdn to USA chevs? Ive never had a USA Chev heater a USA heater apart, the 59 was the only us car Ive owned.

The core in the 63 Parisienne measures about 10.75 inches long, not including the bumps on the ends. It was also stamped 63 B.
