 Thanks,

The Nova is Spring Green, which was a one year only colour offered in 1972. I had to get the colour formulated by Chase in a waterborne paint by matching to a solvent based paint sample. The original colour was a tad lighter and kind of yellowed out in the sun. Mine doesnt but I wonder if it might just be because of the deeper appearance of the finish. It really pops in the sun!

That's interesting. I've long been fascinated by the way there are slight differences in the way things are done in "first world" countries, especially the often tiny differences between the UK and North America. Why are our light switches down for on?

Although all cars that came with water based paint from the factory cannot use anything else here, anything that was originally cellulose - for example - is still allowed to use solvent based. Of course, unless you can DIY, you still need to find a good shop that's prepared to do it!

Yes I have one of those too!! Regent 22 hp 42 " deck, snow thrower & winter cab. These have the "BEST" cut in the industry. Unfortunately the dealer here in town lost the franchise as well as there Allis end & is struggling to stay afloat trying to selling "worn out JUNK at exorbitant prices !!!! Well above the prices you can buy a new Deere or Kubota etc. at Home Depot, or Lowes, and can't figure out why nothing is selling!!! DUH!!!

Nicest garage I have ever been in, I have to say. However, I still think I might have just one oil can you don't have (That should drive him crazy)

Here are two of my babies that have to come out of their slumber one way or the other

For the Beaumont I went through my usual careful checklist for my show quality cars that I do every spring:

1 Open the hood. See if the engine is there.  Check the oil and rad.

2. Hook up the battery.

3. Find the keys.#$%!!! Where did I leave them? Got em.

4. Squeeze the winter flab behind the wheel. Cross my fingers.

5. Crank and pump the gas.

6.  If it starts, keep it running until you can back out.

7. Once you're out take a look at whatever pools the cars left where it was parked. Identify the fluid.

8. Top it up.

9 Take it around the block and see if the brakes work.

10.  Wash it. (optional)

Ready!

The second vehicle is the 1976 GMC motorhome that I will need for my summer work this year. After a little mishap a couple of springs ago it is going to take a bit effort more than the Beaumont.

I had to put some of my collector cars in outside storage this year so I could work on my project.

Hope to bring them back home in in May. I'm afraid that we could still have snow, followed by salt, in April.

That said, we had a dusting over night and it's all gone now. Only a few remnants from the winter remain.

Here's a picture of the only car I kept in the garage over winter, fully covered on the storage ramp.

Two in the garage.  One more still in storage.

The driveway though looks like a used car lot.

That 66 is very nice John. I had a similar one with 396, T400. It was burgundy when I had it, original color was yellow, black vinyl top.

Yes I remember it well. It was very nice, a bench set car like mine as I recall. This car is also a 396 with T400.
