I'm currently in process with the chassis and body restoration of my Beaumont ('65 Beaumont SD). This car was built together in Arica, northern border of Chile. However, stories tell that the car was actually a CKD (completely knocked-down) car that came from Canada and was just assembled here in Chile. As per some of your recommendations and since the chassis was sandblasted these days we're looking for the chassis numbers to see if one could actually be asking GM of Canada for some old production papers of this car. Now there's a problem. The location where the number was stamped on, suffered some type of problem back in the days and was poorly repaired by some d....bag. So all that is left are these 5 (or 6-ish) numbers and one letter.
We found the following code on the driver side frame rail, pointing to the outside.
97805-¿0? .... N (picture attached)
Can anyone who has a '65 Beaumont find any similarity in the code to help me catch up how many digits are missing?
I don't know why I didn't catch this when you first posted that picture.
The 97805__ will be 7 digits. It's the frame part number. After that, because we can see the "ON" it will actually say "PON" for Pontiac assembly I believe. It does NOT mean the Beaumont is a Pontiac, it means the frame was built at the Pontiac plant. There was another option, A.O. Smith and it seems to me a third option which I can't recall at the moment.

Yes, we took a look everywhere but the only real good number found was that one in the picture. The other finding was in front of the drivers side rear wheel "4G6" but I wouldn't guess that tells something. or does it?
