I had one of these, a 75 Parisienne with the Pontiac low compression 455, T400 and 2 series rear gears. It would easily do 130 mph. And rode and handled very well with its size and the F41 suspension. I still have the engine though I don't know if its seized as it's been sitting for a long time; it was retired due to a spun main bearing.

John, you and the seller should talk to each other. You could sell him the 455 or you could buy his land yacht and merge the 2.
I'm not sure but usually the 400 equipped cars ran the TH350 transmission (except those clamshell gate wagons).

Interesting thought but not feasible for me. I don't need anymore cars that are this big, and the roofline never appealed to me. I just bought mine because at the time it was a rust free Alberta car with a 455 and AC, and ran very well. Plus it was cheap ($200.00). But was it ever hard on fuel! Nevertheless a great car to drive; better than the comparable 60s cars.
I agree, this roof line was used from 74-76 on Parisienne Broughams and all other big Pontiacs too except in 1975 and 76 the Bonnevilles and Grandvilles got a different roof design and looked much better to my eye.
