The golden era of automobile advertising - 1950s magazine ads for North American cars


I have been cleaning up some old magazines from the 1950s and 60s - basically I have been tossing them in recycling but not before I pull out some of the neat ads from these magazines

Those are great advertisements!

I confess that I have actually raided old magazines that were destined for the burn pile at a northern cottage dump. Too good to leave for the bears.

I found a February 64 Popular Mechanics with an Owner's Survey of the new Chevelle that way, in another the 67 Impala survey that shows an Impala SS convertible with an L35.
