Those X-frame Chevrolets had relatively weak rear ends when bossed around by 409 power. I agree with George, lose those wheels, and maybe go for a set of Goodrich Silvertown 8.00-14 whitewall tires with correct '63 standard hub caps (used on 14" Chevy II models 1963? - 1966). Also what are those door panels from, a '64 SS?

 

Back in '77 I remember a regular Impala sport coupe with a factory 409 in Dundas, Ontario. It was rusty with original Monaco Blue paint and big Corvette Rally Wheels. I used to see it downtown Dundas or out Brock Road way towards the quarries (where there happened to be a gorgeous '68 Grande Parisienne coupe until around '83).

The second 350 car is now reposted, $20,000, but rock bottom price is $15,500. Also said it was originally a 409 with 3 deuces and automatic. GM never built any 409s with 3 deuces. And could turn into a $75,000 car easily.
