We have a 13 year old boy in our small town (Morris, Mb). He has autism. He has been missing for 10 hours now.  We are in the middle of an awful thunderstorm, wind gusts, heavy downpours. He has no socks or shoes on, he always walks barefoot apparently.  The fire department is searching,  police search and rescue team is here combing the river bank looking for any sign of him because one of his favourite things to do was go for a walk along the shore. Many many residents have spent hours driving around, searching every nook and cranny in town with no luck. There was one possible sighting of him on a bicycle (not his) but that is all.

I know religious posts aren't allowed. Right now I hope we can put that aside, I'm asking for any believers here to pray for him and the people searching for him. I believe in the power of prayer.

I am told he was just found, about 11 hours after he went missing. He was a few miles out of town under a bridge (shelter from the storm). The RCMP got a tip from someone who had seen a boy in yellow shirt walking in the area about 7 hours ago.

Best news I've had in a long time and I don't even know the boy!

Indeed Carl, so often these cases don't end well,what a relief for his parents . My heart was aching when I read your post, thanks be to God and all the dedicated police and searchers.

Scary situation, too many dont turn out well, glad he was found and well. Autism is a very difficult thing to have to live with and around day to day, my daughter works with young kids who need a lot of help and the patience and commitment needed is significant.

Terrifying experience for him to go through. Thankfully it turned out well.
He did seem to have the survival sense to hide from the storm.

 Exactly............I'm guessing he likes to roam and his parents would not want to lock him down.

He was smart to take refuge and just chilled..............ask me how I know. I bet he didn't panic.

Thats excellent news! We have a son with autism spectrum developmental delays so i know how panicked the parents must have been. Everyones prayers worked!
