Hi everyone.  It is great to be part of this awesome site.

I am a retired Assistant Fire Chief and I'm the custodian of my departments original ambulance

It is an Ontario built, 1951 Pontiac Chieftain Sedan Delivery which was converted to an ambulance upon delivery.

It has 17,800 original miles.  The body underwent a full restoration in 1989, but the interior is original, other than the seats have been reupholstered.

I have had the old girl out to summer car shows the last two years and it's been a blast.  I love the comradery of the car show culture.  She even won two awards last year!!!Grey Ghost on Helipad 8X12 A.jpg

Well a hearty welcome to you from the Okanagan. That is such a cool and unique vehicle. Nice to see it getting the care it deserves. Im sure there will be suggestions coming that we should see your car at the top of the page for a month as a feature car. Thanks for coming on the site.
