I haven't seen this tool used, but I've seen the "ball-crusher" in use. First time I've ever seen a steer drop to it's knees.

Have used a dehorner in the past. Crack then a fine stream of blood and the rest of the herd going apeshit at the smell of blood. Nowdays the vet has to do the job under anaesthetic.
