St. Thomas Dragway. 1989

Lot's of memories. This was the era where I'd go to St.Thomas quite a bit. I recognize quite a few cars. Hard to believe that's 31 years ago. cry

It looks to be set up for bracket racing. A Nissan 240 SX vs. a Mustang LX 5.0? "I'll give you a head start", that is how bracket racing works.

We were just talking about a rodded Chevy Citation that is for sale on the west coast, what are the odds that we spot another on the strip?

Then there's this little gem:

When I saw the FWD Olds 98 Regency line up beside a Lexus, it made me wonder if the Olds was a rental? Tsk tsk. biggrin

Drag bikes. I equate those sort with those who want to meet their maker.

Doing that to a Chevy Citation should have been illegal. I really mean that. Could this dude have not picked a far less lame car to build a drag car out of.

I'm sure people built what they had access to at the time. The Citation doesn't appeal to me but it's not unlike the awesome drag cars that have been built in more recent years from more current front drive platforms. I think it's cool.
