Hello, I have seen on your forum that many people seem to recall lots of information about Pontiac dealerships from the past, and I thought I'd try my luck and enquire about the dealership my Firebird was sold at new in 1979. It was sold in Montreal, Quebec at a dealership called Ville-Marie Pontiac Buick, and I've found this old TV advertisement from what looks like the 80's. I have the address for it, I'm yet to contact the property management to see if they still have information on the previous owners, as it appears the dealer was closed in the 90's at some point in December, and a gym opened in place of it and remains there. https://youtu.be/qdXeZYaDr2c I'd love to see if anyone has anymore info, stories or pictures from that dealership, and I saw that other people had dealership plates from their old dealers from back in the day, and wanted to see if anyone may even have one! I also wanted to see if anyone has any 1979 Pontiac owners literature in French, as I believe as my car was Canadian, it was sold with french owners manuals and warranty cards, the dash is also in KMPH as opposed to miles. Thank you all for taking the time to read this! -Max

Welcome. When I saw Ville Marie my thoughts went to the town of Ville Marie, Quebec which is near the Ontario border about 8 hours drive north of Montreal. Your research seems to suggest a dealership right in Montreal.
Good luck with your search.
Yes that video is how I started getting interested in the dealerships history, after I saw that ad I was like "oh that's a pretty cutesy mom and pop kind of dealership, I'd love to see the history behind it!" Yes indeed it is in Villa Marie in Montreal Quebec, I was very confused when I saw that Villa Marie also happened to be that small little town!
I did order that document through George, It was great as it was actually a complete build sheet as opposed to the PHS order invoice. It also showed the dealership name which is how I knew exactly which dealership it was from before I only had an dealer code. If someone on he had a license plate bracket from that dealership that would be so awesome and I would love to get my hands on it!
Short update, I ended up speaking to the dealership owners widow! Unfortunately, the gentleman who ran the dealership passed away only a couple weeks back. It was very interesting to speak to the widow however! Told of a lot of stories and a lot of history!
