If he is refering to the car in the picture,  i know that car and it is a factory 283, it belongs to our poncho member "offroadtoad"

These facebook pages are so full of mis-information, it is downright sad!!!!!

It's sure a great looking car, love the stance.

I just hope he didn't get scammed when he bought it...

I would think that offroadtoad owns that car in your picture, his name is Todd, he just bought some repro decals from me in the spring for the car,  it is totally origianal unrestored, he knows his stuff about that car,  a straight up guy from what i know.

This facebook guy might be talking about a different car????????

this is the same car with stock wheels, it was forsale in BC a few years back and todd bought it.  is a stone stock original 283 powerglide car

Ya, I typed up a page from George last week,
Fake 68 was born with an L88 427 and factory air... but I put in a 350 so I could call it Fake 68.

Um and it's a Nova.

The owner is not happy with me on the Facebook page. He doesn't seem to understand that I am not making a personal attack on him, I'm simply questioning the documentation on a vehicle that up until now, General Motors and MANY Beaumont enthusiasts will say was never built.

Has this car recently changed hands? Was documentation provided in sale if so? Is there anyway to prove documents did not originate with GMVVS and George Zapora?

Oh boy here we go again. One guy stirs the pot and then we get a license plate broker involved. When will it end? Poor guy with the bb now has doubts. I love the simple life.

Regardless of the power train, it's a very cool car.

Another very neat conversion to 1 of 1 would be to turn a rare 64-65 2 door Chevelle wagon into the comparable model of Beaumont.

Saw one of these 2 door Chevelle wagons in a now defunct junkyard in Maine in the early 90s. I hope it got saved before the yard contents got crushed in the mid 90s.

There were lots of rare and complete cars in that yard the first time I was there in 1991. The yard was near an air force base and apparently many of the 40s to 60s cars were just driven in and parked.

However,  nothing remained when I went back there in the late 90s.   I do know for sure however, that a 66 Bel Air 396 2 door post ex-Maine highway patrol car was saved by a fellow in NB who still owns it.

So where is the car now? Requesting a second set of documents should be doable.

It appears the current owner is in BC.

It doesn't appear that we will see any documents posted to prove its authenticity.

It appears that thread is now gone on Facebook. I can only assume the owner of the wagon who started the thread deleted it.

My friend in Timmins has a 1964 2 door Chevelle wagon he bought out of Texas a few years ago. It was originally a 6 auto but now has a 350 700r4 combination.
