That Monte has a cool story attached to it:

Don ordered the car in 1972 as his demonstrator. The color for the exterior was not offered in 1972 so it was a special option code 01-01 for $39.00 which is indicated on the window sticker that is still on the car! The car has only 3,022 miles ! Amazing! This time capsule runs and drives beautifully. The shine is still on the paint and the interior is beautiful. The car has a triple black combination with black vinyl buckets and top. It has a 175hp 350 V8 with Automatic transmission on the console. Ordered with 4 season air conditioning. Rally wheels. Tinted glass and door guards and more.

It sold for $105,000 US.

This one is kinda neat for those who like the '73-'77 cars - I wonder how many were ordered with 454s:

1974 Chevrolet Chevelle Laguna S-3 Landau Coupe. 1E37Y4B554509

The car was ordered as a Demonstrator for Don and sold and was traded back in 1980. It was a one owner car and Don put it back with his collection. The car has a 454 V8 and Automatic transmission. Don had the car repainted and freshened and put away. It's beautiful. It has the Sport cloth houndstooth interior . Swivel seats. Fully loaded with options. There are 51,811 miles on the car. Automatic on the console.
