It's funny you think there is a hump in the tire, but If the camera could stay in one spot floating, you'd see that bulge continuously moving along.

But it lets you see what kind of torture a tire is up against with that constant flexing.

I worked for Green & Ross Tire in Toronto with 9 stores. I had many times to diagnose the cause of tire failures, and even worked for Firestone in Calgary for a year. where I set up a distribution network of auto repair shops. 

I became quite good at spotting foreign articles in the tread and sidewall of tires negating Warranty claims.

Run flats were the most interesting because you usually found the foreign item or the point of entry.

AIR PRESSURE...... when was the last time you checked your air pressure. 

With todays low profile tires a guage is the only way to determine if it is soft
