1973 Pontiac Lemans Sport Coupe GTO, matching 400 cu. in. with M20 factory 4 speed. New 2.5" magnaflow dual exhaust with factory type chrome tips, floors and suspension very solid. New carpet and underlay installed recently, have documentation from GM Historical Services verifying when this car was built. Upgraded ignition with new HEI distributor, AC Delco plugs and wires - it runs like a top. Not a 100 point show car but is in very good condition. This car is located in Newfoundland, if interested call or pm 709-690-7642
I think it came from out west about three years ago. I know the guy who bought it after it came here, and the guy who owns it now. It's a decent car, (and I assume fairly rare with the 4 speed) but it's not for me. If I ever look for a colonnade coupe it will be a 73-75 Grand Am or nothing.
As is gone. That was fast. The car looked like a nice rare one in mostly original condition.
Two nights ago the ad was up on Kijiji in St. John's and was pulled down in 2 hours. Then it turned up on Kijiji Halifax the next day.
It could be sold and if so it will have changed hands 3 more times since 2018. Or the ad could have been pulled for some other reason.
Not a surprise if it did sell as it was pretty good when I last saw it about 18 months ago. I bought the exhaust system off it at that time from the owner who was advertising it this week.
As I recall one of the owners of this car came on board and was asking how to tell if the car was a GTO. He had acquired it a few years ago and there were a few signs that led to his questioning it. I looked at the car pictures and VIN and noticed that the car had a 1976 or 1977 interior, most notably the seats, but they were very mice and the door panels were branded Sport Coupe whereas a GTO would have said GTO. Since GTO was an option package the only real way was to get the GMVVS documents Which seems to have been done. Its a nice car that's for sure and if Canadian built super rare with that 4 speed.
