Chevrolet biscayne 1968, frame tordu, ailes avant et arriere tordu suite a une visite dans un fosset. Le reste est top shape. Moteur 5.3 et transmission 4l60e. Interieur tres propre, banc refait a neuf. Plancher non pourrit. Toujours plaquer a mon nom et pret a remettre sur route dans inspection. Non nego. Echange contre camaro 1970 a 1981.

It's not a big deal to turn a 4-door into a 2-door post - on paper. No welding involved, just cut & paste! wink

I wonder if one could section another frame and have it be sound? It would take some gusseting, and in this province anyway a rebuild title. And a skilled operator on a rack to make certain everything is on spec.

Bah, parts car.

Or maybe it could be made into a really neat B02 Police copy. Unmarked and all black with police caps & 427 marker lights. No cherry! That might be something to shoot for.

 

Trivial fact: In 1967 they sold more 6-cylinder Biscaynes than with V8s, but in 1968 the trend reversed. It continued through '70. 1971 & later Big Chevys with sixes are pretty rare.

This car brings back memories to around 1977-78. A neighbor had a 68 two door sedan Biscayne with the same colour combination as this car with a 307 and PowerGlide. I was a young man 19 to 20 years old and i approached the middle aged lady that owned the car. I asked her if she would be interested in selling me the car as is, she hummed and hawed and then said yes. I took the car for a drive and fell in love with the car in every way. I told her the car is sold and i would see her the next day to make it final. She called me the next day swearing at me, saying i had broken her car. I was taken a back and asked what was wrong. She said that after i took the car for a test drive, i left the key in ignition and her points burned out. I told her that i do not care if the points are burned out............ i want the car. To this day i do not think for one minute that her concern was real in any way. She just changed her mind about selling that really sweet car.
