Overhanging load, was the brain engaged when he called it good?

I have driven that highway numerous times, and often at a decent clip to put it mildly. Its beautiful. Before they redid & widened the Sea-to-Sky highway I knew a classmate that was killed in a collision on it around 1988.

As an avid cyclist stories like this give me the shivers, thats why I prefer mountain biking, at least the trees arent stupid enough to cut me off! Story I heard on this was the load shifted after a strap malfunctioned but no excuse at all, secure your load properly and even then dont you ever check your mirrors??!!

At 27 year old cyclist was killed about a month ago near my place. An imparied woman hit him. She stopped about a km down the road. When a witness approached her she said "I'm just waiting for the driver who hit me to stop by and give me his insurance information". That's how drunk she was. I'll stick to the trails thanks.

If his brains were dynamite, they would have exploded long before this freaking stupidity.

Yes on PEI. No shoulders, narrow winding roads, and DUI drivers.

A few years ago a DUI repeat offender finally killed someone (a cyclist) ... he spent a few years in Dorchester Prison, NB, but not long enough.
