Buddy is cleaning up his shop and found a bunch of Y8 Champion NOS plugs, in the boxes, made in Canada, wrapped in wax paper.

Any ideas on what they are for?

It is really cute. I want to find out what the Y8 is for so I go to the Champion site. They in turn ask me what it is for. Round and round. Equivalent replacement plug is Autolite - 3136, Champion - UY6, Champion - UY6014. Some of those come up as Volvo plugs.

I recall a guy that owned a rare Spanish sports car, a Pegasso. Getting plugs for the car was an adventure on the scale of the Holy Grail. Finally some veteran parts guy blew the dust off a box that had been setting for decades and for a time the Pegasso owner had fresh plugs. The proper plugs have been out of production for at least 50 years.
