I say find a 401 or 425 Buick nailvalve V8 to run, the Dynaflow's already conveniently in the trash

Really interesting how unique each division of GM was from one another back in the fifties, compared to where it ended up.  This Buick wagon body is totally unique from the other divisions.  Chevy/Pontiac wagons shared roof designs (and quarter panels), I don't believe Olds had a wagon at this time, and Cadillac never would have considered having a wagon at the time (except coachbuilt wagons and funeral cars).

Neat car - would take a ton of work to restore, and I imagine the unique parts would be hard to find nowadays.  Would be worth the effort, though, if you crave a unique part of Buick history.

A very ambitious person could probably build one from two. Lots of work, but there are many skilled people out there who could do it.

In this pic?  If so, I believe that is the sun shining on the carpet from above.  If not, which pic are you talking about?

It's still a pretty neat car, chrome looks "passable" & says all trim there!!! But a long term project that will cost a lot of $$$$$
