1960 Pontiac Parisienne VIN 00006 . Toronto.

https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/city-of-toronto/1960-pontiac-parisienne/1518698449

This car was redone in 1999 and has a 283ci with 327 heads (not matching numbers), th350, no power options. The bad: tiny bubbles on passenger rear wheel well and back panel , driver rocker was welded but would need to be done (pics). The good: rare, overall great condition, great cruiser, fast on highway, good glass, good chrome, new battery, new brake cylinders, new shocks and springs, new weatherstripping, comes with extra set of steel wheels and original hubcaps. #6 off the production line on 25th August 1959 (check GM docs). Not interested in trades, price is firm, no lowballers or dreamers, thank you. Sold as is,.

That floor brace looks like it made that excursion come to a sudden halt!

Nice looking car for the asking price of $18K, but I'd want to poke at it underneath on a hoist before plunking down the cash.  Looks like it could be hiding some rusties... but you can't really tell by the pics.

Ahhh good stuff.  Please don't be offended by my post - I've had too many bad experiences with rust over the years, being on the east coast, so I tend to be finicky where rust is concerned.  I've seen too many cars that looked solid until you poked a screw driver through the frame or floor and were showered with rust flakes...

I know you are a straight-up honest guy (despite what that nasty old Carl says... lol) and would completely trust your word on it.

As I said, that's one nice looking car, and very interesting with the early VIN.  I wonder if it was one of the first sold directly to the public?  Typically the low VINs were almost pre-production - working out the production bugs, and some would have been filtered off as show/display vehicles.  But whatever, it's just a nice looking old car.
