That car is an Oshawa-built GM executive car. I first heard of it when Keith Tedford bought it, then Ken Leblanc owned it. It has a 12-bolt 3.55 type C rear, normally 455 H.O. only but this car was a 400 4-barrel 4-speed originally.

Owner is a family member and it is a very nice car. Worth every penny of 20k. I would ask more if it were mine truth be told.

So really who would alter  such a rare car, I think it was one of two made, wasn't it originally silver too.

Not I if it were mine. Beautiful and rare car.

Keith did when he redid it. He already had 2 silver cars on hand, a silver COPO Chevelle he bought new in his barn and another silver '69 Chevelle SS396 L78. He changed the car to 1972 Cardinal Red and put on the 1971 notched rear pan. He preferred the quad tips out the back. The nice thing I prefer about the 1972 side-split exhaust tips is you can add them or take them away without a tell-tale notched pan. The bad thing about the 1972 side-split exhaust tips is actually finding a correct set.

Me too.  IMHO a rare one like that should have been kept original, but the past is the past.

That said, I would have no trouble driving it in its current configuration.  It's still a beautiful car.
