Congratulations. 

You know when we come across these really interesting Ponchos that are absolutely loaded with the largest engines and all the best equipment we often find that they were GM Head Office or Zone Office management cars. Well that's what I got, I'm second owner, it was registered to Genesis Canada and now that the 2021s are coming with completely new styling they had to change over this and several others. By the numbers there were only 393 G80s in Canada and 130 were V8. Anyway its a complete luxury car and after my disappointing Cadillac test drives some drastic action was needed. I have the Genesis warranty until October 2023 and 90,000 more kms is left on it. I was blown away by the quality, features and the way the car drives is very BMW like, the styling is a copy cat mix of Audi, BMW, Aston Martin and Bentley logos. I've only had it for less than 12 hours and driven it for maybe 90 minutes but I can tell you it puts all the Cadillacs I ever had to shame. 

Its Himalayan Grey with Tan and Mocha Nappa leather.

Congrats Ray!  That's quite the beast you have there - a refined beast, but a beast nonetheless.  

It's interesting how it compares to the quarter mile times of muscle cars from the era which all of us have long held in high esteem - your 13.8 puts you in the company of some legendary iron from days past - and actually faster than many listed at the link below:

I realize that many of those magazine tests were with factory stock cars on skinny tires (though it's also well known that the factory guys often 'juiced up' test vehicles for the magazines), so the times listed are lower than a "day 2" owner could get out of them at the track after some tweaking.  However, your car has healthy rubber right over the box, and has the advantage of AWD to maximize traction.  Plus, your emissions will only be a fraction of what your carbureted musclecars would be pumping out, your fuel economy will be as good or better than a "compact" economy car of the era, plus you have excellent braking, cornering that would have been on par with road race cars of the sixties, all while enjoying comfortable seats, A/C, and the music of your choice in your quiet, luxurious cabin.  Amazing how far we've come when you think about it.

Nice ride! Ive watched those for a few years. They have amazing Specs and given theyre trying to establish a reputation that puts them on par or better than the Lexus, Audi, BMW, Cadillac etc., I expect theyll be doing everything they can to keep customers happy. What a treat that would be, eh?

Mine has that too Ray. Except shows the Lincoln logo. I wonder how similar it is. Yours should have that night interior ambient lighting too then. See if yours has the feature on the dash for ambient lighting for the interior, it allows you to choose the interior colour lighting at night. So many options. Its pretty cool.

 No worries Pascal. I'd say that anyone who isn't up on modern cars and aware of the current automotive news and topics covered in magazines like Road & Track and Motor Trend would likely make the same misjudgment. To start the company they hired only the best from the best as I mentioned above. I've spent a lot of the weekend educating people. 2021 is only their 5th year of releasing cars to the public so to reach #1 in four short years is a tremendous accomplishment, one that Pontiac and any current division of GM could only dream about now.  

The cars are sold in Boutiques, not dealerships, in my case I went to Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga, a city adjacent to Toronto to the west. They have the store situated among the other high end retailers, Tiffany, Armani and Holt Renfrew to capitalize on their target demographic. You get to relax in nice living room furniture and sip on cappuccino while buying a car. Nav Bhatia the Raptors Super Fan owns this Franchise, Genesis Mississauga. I attach a photo of the place. 

One of the maintenance guys at work mentioned his wife had this sports car with a turbo called a Hyundai Genesis and she loved it. That was before they had kids. He said the car was about $24,000 to buy back then. In terms of performance the 2.0 turbo was a 7 second 0-60 car and about 15 seconds 1/4 mile. There was a more expensive V6 model with a 3.8 that was 5.5 seconds 0-60 and over 100 mph in a 14.3 1/4 mile time,
