New a 1967 Beaumont SD 2door coupe

I bought new a 1967 Beaumont SD 396-350 coupe and it was delivered to my Pontiac dealer (Milton Motor Sales -Milton ON) in late January 1967.

Specs:  396 CU., 350 HP., Posi, Turbo Hydro trans, Colour-Tahoe Turquoise with black vinyl top, black interior-bucket seats. This car came with the Beaumont hood bulges. This car was originally ordered in Sep 1965 but didnt get it til about Feb 1st 1966.

I kept it for about 5 years and sold it and lost track of it but did know the engine was changed to a 427. it was in the Acton Ontario for a while.

I dont have a record of serial number but it was the only 1967 SD that was sold that year thru Milton Motor Sales.

Would GM have any sales info or, vehicle shipping info to dealers for 1967 vehicles?

If you think you might own my car (ie Colour code for Tahoe Turquoise -SD) and we can talk. Please call or text me  416 985 7072 Larry Schuyler -Milton ON

GM Vintage Vehicle Services is who you'd want to call. I'm now sure how high tech their database is but they may be able to search that model number and dealer code to see if it comes up.
Here's the Link: Vintage Vehicle Services

I neglected to give the Taho Turquoise Paint code # L which was on the plate on the firewall under the hood on my Beaumont.

So I contacted Vintage Vehicle Services Inc in Oshawa and after some discussion and sending the info I had on My 1967 Sport deluxe (396-350 w/TurboHydromatic, that I purchased new, I was able to get

documentation on my car.   Thanks so much for leading me to them.  They were very helpful.

My car had a Production date of Jan 25th, 1967 and was shipped to my dealer (Milton Motor Sales, Milton ON) on Jan 27th, 1967

Serial number last 4 digets  #___6117.

Original colour Tahoe Turquoise with Black vinyl top.

Anyone out there have a '67 Sport Deluxe coupe with that serial number???

Thanks,

Larry Schuyler

I think it's possible to have the MTO do a query if you have the full vin for that car.

May lead you to the current owner or at least confirm if the car still exists?

Hello Larry,

Such a unique car from the photo you have me wondering a few things. Why did you choose a Beaumont SD396 over say a Chevelle or other like car? How old were you when you got it? Do you remember what it cost and how you paid for it?

Cheers, Ray

Thanks for your questions:
I originally was going to order a new 67 Camaro (same colour with black vinyl top), but it was basically the same cost and I thought I would be getting a lot more car for similar price, so...... at the last minute I ordered the Beaumont with the 396 and the 350 Hp engine, with the turbo-hydro tranny. Ordered power brakes but no power steering as I understood it would take away a bit of horsepower.
The car only had 9 brake drums I believe and on a hard power stop the drums would go out of round from overheating. I should have ordered disc front brakes which I think were an option. I chose a Beaumont over Chevelle as I think it looked nicer and there wasnt as many around in the 66 model year . I liked the dash layout better than the Chevelle dash too.
The following year I was in New York State travelling with it and was at a shopping center parking lot and all of a sudden 3 guys showed up (2 with Chevelles) and they had never seen or heard of a Beaumont.
I was 22 when I bought it and it was about $3950. dollars ( just under $4,000.). Had to borrow about a $1000. From my dad and the bank loaned me the rest over 3 years I think.
The colour was Tahoe Turquoise with black vinyl top and Black bucket interior . It had red line wide ovals and I put mags on shortly after.
Drove it to about 85000 mi. and sold it in 1973 I think.
It was a fun car and I want to see if it is still alive!

It was a great day. I think that within the first week we were out at least a couple of nights drag racing! Crazy times back then.
If that is a pic of your 67 I see here, it is a beauty. I chose my colour as I was in Indiana for the 500 the previous May and saw a Chevelle that was a similar blue-green colour and loved it .

I understand there werent many 67s in my colour, Tahoe Turquoise . The picture I posted was taken in 1968 I think.
It originally had a 3.23 rearend and I changed it to a 3.55 ratio. The car was quick.
