Nice little time waster there. To me the movies are entertainment not documentaries so the odd car slip up here and there is meaningless to me, the car's sole purpose is a prop to aid in setting a scene or mood  or move the story along. Number's matching game best left to the numbers matchers.

It is kind of a game for me and a challenge, catching car goofs in movie's. Some very blatant and some very subtle but still fun to catch car mistakes in movie's. For me it has always mattered to get it right and getting it right can mean many things. What has always bothered me is seeing cars that are much newer in vintage for the time line of the movie, that is just pure dumb. People like Frances Ford Coppola and Martin Scorsese are real die hard's in getting it right in their film's.

Damn I had to watch that Hot Rods to Hell, now that was some terrible acting.
Then of course Shelby vs Ferrari, retirement gives you time for that.

Doug I totally agree with your sentiments concerning "Hot Rods To Hell" (1967). I grew up watching this film in the 70's on TV and I found it interesting for the cars at the time but now the film is just too painful to watch. Dana Andrews was a wonderful actor but he was really wasted in this film.

American Graffiti (1973) will always be the ultimate "Car Guy" movie to me. I saw it when it came out in 1973 as a punk kid of 15 years old and loved it then. In 1983 when I bought my first Beta video machine, the first thing I did was special order American Graffiti on Beta tape. Even before I bought blank Beta tapes to record, I had to have American Graffiti on tape. I paid what seemed like a stupid amount of money then but I had to have it. I have lost track of all the countless times I have seen that wonderful film.
