That's one heck of a find. was there a 350 HP option in 1964? IIRC it was a 327/300 HP then anything more than that was Corvette only.

Would be nice to see this returned to it's former glory.

Red hoses. Cool car and looks fairly restorable. All those options and a bench seat.

Yes, 300 was the top horsepower on a 327 in all but Corvette.

Is that really a correct 1964 four speed set up. I thought there was a small type of console as well.

Hopefully this great car will get the care it deserves!

I like looking at that original shifters shape. Curve at the bottom. I was sold one way back before I knew anything, telling me it was for a 65. Nope.

I bet the 63/64 guys are drooling over this car,

Funny, someone decided that replacing the mech fuel pump was too much trouble. Would the breather be Buick, or is it just a 64 CP painted red?

I think it's correct, just painted red.

Yeah, nothing like having a rubber fuel hose draped over an exhaust manifold - what could possibly go wrong?  biggrin

With respect to the air cleaner, see the photo I found of a numbers matching restoration on line:

1964 CHEVROLET IMPALA SS

Would appear that it is not original to the car, the 64 pictured still has that unit with ribs in it and the air ceaner drops down over the filter. This style was also used in 1965 IIRC.

I am guessing by the a/c that is a US car. I think Canadian is different?  I don't know my 64's very well so I have to say the red one may still be wrong. Hopefully we have a 64 Canadian expert who will chime in.

Here's a image I'd kept of a 64 Parisienne 327/300.

The red aircleaner is the correct canadian one(just should be black instead of red)

Rays pic is the american version

The pic of the green car is almost right but the aircleaner snorkel is of a 59-62 style. the 4-speed car has the correct tapered 64 snorkel.

those canadian aircleaners for the 4 bbl base are hard to find!!!!

Was the 300 horse also a Carter in 64 like the 300 horse in 65 used?

For buckets there was a console (like the automatic one, but with a different gear selection plate). I don't think there was any console for a bench, just the boot/floor plate.

 It is very cool.

I thought that tachs only came with the Custom Sport models. Maybe because it is a high horse 327?

I'd like to see the GM documents for it.

It is a '64 tach. Mine:

I concur with Darryl. Back in the 70's my buddy had a factory '64 Parisienne 4 speed that had only the bench seat but also a factory tachometer. The stick was identical to the one in the car that is advertised. It simply stuck out of the hump.  The tach is correct for a '64. I may be wrong but I thought the tach came standard on factory 4 speed cars, not automatics. I am certain that someone on this site can correct my thinking. I have included a picture of my factory 4 speed console. When I redid my CS, I purchased a new, engine turned aluminum console top which is actually for a '64 Impala SS 4 speed. The original satin aluminum top is not available for a CS.  To complement the console, I installed engine turned aluminum on the dash too.

I know in 66 and believe in 65 the tach was standard with a 4 speed in a full size Pontiac. It could well be the same for 64.

I did learn something new this year. On the 4 speed US Pontiacs in 66 a tach was still optional, unlike Canada where all 4 speeds got it.

What's the bet as to what the car would bring?

Six, Seven? Ten...More? I'm sure it'll command a good buck.

In my dreams, I'd love to bring this one back. If solid underbody and chassis (rockers are iffy?), it could be done on the diy. I love this car...

3K - 4K in parts alone with just the powertrain, tach, tilt, power window setup etc, never mind what it's worth fixed up. And it would be a shame to see it parted out.
