Good day. I have a 1958 Chevrolet car (made in Canada) That needs a lot of repairs. I'm curious about the original paint color "1820" that is listed on the plate on the firewall,as well as the trim color that is listed as"847". I've looked online ,and could not find a thing. I'm wondering if someone on this Forum could help and Identify the colors? It is still in its original color- 2 tone, lower color appears to be yellow goldish (faded) and the top color is whiteish. You can also direct me to a different forum if that is appropriate. Thanks Aug
here are teh canadian color charts and color names
the code might not match up because your car is 2 toned, so the 1820 might be a code for that 2 tone combo
also vintage vehicle services can provide you with the GM of canada documentation for your car based on serial number, the cost for 1958s is still reasonable compared to muscle car documents, give them a call.

Here is the copy of my email to them in case there are other pro interpreters on this forum. I would welcome any information that the serial, style, bso, engine # gives. thanks
I'm wondering if you can help me with my paint code interpretation. I will eventually need something that Napa can use to mix the right colors. It is:
paint - 1820 (yellowish bottom white top)
trim - 847
style - 1847
Body# - 107235
BSO - 357 372
Serial - 8184706708
Engine - 9V86682
Also if you care to share any other information about the car. It is in rough shape, but I am looking at restoration. The seized engine appears to be a 348 cu in. I'm not sure how much the serial number can tell you, but it does have electric W.S. wipers. LOL
In 1958 paint 1820 = Anniversary gold metallic bottom with dover white upper trim 847 = is not in my book style 1847 = Impala 8 cylinder 2 door hardtop serial numbers ( not body number ) started at 8184700001 and went up V-8 engines we either a 283 cubic inch or 348 list price Cdn$ 3272 shipping weight 3459 lbs
The GMVVS docs will have more info. very desirable model
