My new neighbor, if this counts, bought his 55 Chev 2 door post when he was 19. Still has it at 71!!! He also has a 2008 vette. I owned my 59 el Camino for about 15 years.

I had a 1963 Impala SS, bought in 1967 let it go after 12 years.

My father bought a new 2 door Caprice in 1979 and when he died in 1995

I had it shipped to Calgary from Windsor Ontario.

Still have it today 25 years later.

This thread really made me think about how the years slip by. The one car I have owned the longest has been with me on many adventures and life experiences. I bought it as a field car in 1982 so I guess that makes it 38 years I have owned it. It was only 43 years old when I bought it and now has made it to 81 years. I hope I do too.

I have driven it from Port Renfrew to Cornerbrook and from Rainbow lake to Montana and was even in a low budget NFB movie.

It was built as a very early production car in South gate California and somehow found its way to northern Alberta in the early 1940s. It was apparently owned by an eccentric old guy for some years and was even used as a school bus for a time as you could stuff quite a few kids in there as one of the pictures I have attached shows.  The engine seized in about 1952 probably due to the  grille design (It was changed during the year to allow more airflow.) and sat until I saw its potential.  Unfortunately I haven't even fired it up this year despite my best intentions due to a leaky gas tank. Gonna have to give it some attention next year for sure!

I'll let you guess what it actually is. It shouldn't be hard!

I knew I should have edited that out! (Along with photoshopping my younger self out of the pictures.) Oh well at least the car's body stayed the same size over the years even if mine didn't

My first car was my beaumont at 14... almost 34 years later I still own it. Thinking about it, it's kinda cool that it's my first ever car too!
