I had an original AM Acadian radio completely rebuilt for my 65 Beaumont. Looks exactly like original but inside is bluetooth, AM/FM, 3.5mm Aux in jack, USB for mp3 player and 2.3amp for phone charging.
Looks great and once installed, I'll know more about how it functions.
Used mrheaterbox.com/ out of Harrowsmith Ontario. Wasn't cheap but I love the concept of having the original look with all of the new functionality. I also got a new speaker that will fit in the same location to handle the updated power.
I got my 2 radios from dealer near Lindsay, { Janetville }" Endeavour " advertises in Old Auto's direct bolt in AM/Fm with USB but I didn't go for blue tooth ,wish I had now!! Price wise it was a little less than doing conversion of org. radios & didn't have to wait 6 weeks. 905 449,6630 John!!

I pulled the guts out of mine and installed a bluetooth unit. $12 each from ebay. Not really interested in listening to drongos rabbit on and adds on the radio any more. The one I installed doesnt need an amp. The red board i put in the radio and routed power through the on off switch, bought 2 good speakers to fit in the front and back seat and it booms. The little panel one i put in my old petrol bowser with disco lights amp and speakers. This one is small enough to hide in the glovebox but requires an amp.
cutting a roof off a four door is NOT a convertible.....
65 Parisienne convertible.one of 49 built for RHD export market,402BBC, T400, 2500 stally, posi rear, upgraded brakes with front discs, FUEL FAST efi custom built by me.
I bought a Retro Sound stereo with bluetooth and placed it (best I could) into the original am radio that was in my Beaumont.
www.retromanufacturing.com was the sight but I went through a dealer in Toronto. they were super easy to deal with, and the it was really easy to install.
Here are a couple pics

Hi Beaumont66, thanks for your post and the topic is very interesting. I am very interested in your pics but your picture files won't download into the site and we can't open the attachments. Could you re-save them as a jpeg file and up load them again?
Yeah I took the face plate off the original, used a wire brush on a drill to clean it up, and then it slipped right into place. I had to do some cutting to get the new stereo to fit in where the previous buttons and display were. I'm pretty happy the way it turned out.
