I saw that... I thought it would be a cool family hauler... but I am a little short on parking room over here as is.

and I threw out a gold hood this summer. It never occurred to me to give it to this guy to replace the one with the hood pins. It was a leftover from the Safari Estate wagon that I harvested a 454 out of years ago.
Love it! That would be pretty hard to turn down if it wasn't 3/4 of the way across the country! Funky quarter panels and all, I could see having a lot of fun with that one.

Sadly have to sell my 70 Safari wagon. It is a fully reliable daily driver. It has power windows, AM radio, and a tow package. It has the 300hp 350 SBC and a TH375 transmission. Everything works. Here is what I have done: Engine converted to HEI ignition, Plugs, wires. Alternator and starter, Waterpump and thermostat, New brakes all the way around, (drums, cylinders, hardware, hoses, master cylinder.) All steering components (tie rods, sleeves, centre link which was very hard to get.) Shocks, strut rod bushings, upper control arm bushings. Ball joints, upper and lower. Rear axle seals, rear wheel bearings. Transmission service, Washer pump, New winter tires. I have receipts for all of this. The vehicle runs and drives great, all windows work. Floors are solid and the interior is in excellent condition. Only problem in rust on the quarters and hilarious sheetmetal screwed on quarters. Definitely restorable.
The photo with the arch in the background is at the top of Roger's Pass in BC. The arch is the monument up there. He drove the car out to the coast a couple months ago.
