A driver is facing multiple charges after he was pulled over in Burlington on Monday for using a folding chair as a drivers side seat, according to Halton police.

A patrol officer stopped the Ford Edge just after 11 a.m. on Appleby line and had the vehicle impounded, according to police spokesperson Ryan Anderson.

The driver was charged with unsafe vehicle and seatbelt inoperative, Anderson told Global news.

They should have charged him with leaving his hitch in wink

Yep a fine, in Ontario.

It could have been me, I did have the drivers seat out of my explorer once, but I'm not quite that stupid.

And why would the seat be out of it? A broken Ford power seat drive I bet! 

Anyway, could have been another Darwin candidate... About 20 years ago, I still distinctly remember the news of a young guy being killed in a Mustang 5.0 on Kenilworth ave in Hamilton. Not a particularly fast section, he'd simply lost control and wrapped it around a pole. Yep, you guessed it, he fell out of his lawn chair when letting the car go.
