Looks like an old S10 Blazer, I guess they got better looking with age like you and me George?

Hmm. I'd say maybe better looking than the Rav. But not for 20K USD more.

I like when they do the retro looke.

Wish more manufacturers would add more of these looks to their fleet.

I think they would sell very nicely.

Better looking than a RAV4 is a really low standard, but yeah I agree this is definitely better looking than a RAV.

The first time I saw one of the newer ones coming at me, I couldn't help but make the comparison...

 Agree.  I do like when manufacturers come out with new and interesting designs, but I find much of them today to fall under the 'fail' category (with several exceptions).  When it comes down to it, some of my favourite designs in the past 10 years or so have been cars with retro styling cues, or complete retro (like the 05-09 Mustangs, or the Challengers) designs.
