Canada Post......weird delivery so far.

I still have members who haven't received calendars. The longest has been two sent Dec 7. I may have to rethink CP fund raisers until this postal mess is fixed.

Thanks for mentioning this Todd, You are being very discrete.  In my opinion, I can appreciate Canada Post's awkward position, due to larger commitments, ie the Federal Government.

But under the circumstances that this pandemic has put the world in, with illness to employees and cut backs due to operating costs, if service is being compromised, they should do the same as other industries and service and stop the service,  To take clients money and not deliver the service is almost  fraud.

IMHO

I'm just glad that they are providing service in these times ... I would NEVER grumble!!!

I thank the store staff and cashiers etc. for their service every time I shop. We are very fortunate to have people working in those positions!

Seems strange the inconsistency in delivery of packages, must have been some things got stuck in a corner somewhere. I shipped a steering column tube to Iroquois Falls, ON before Christmas, it was there in about 4 days. I dont think they should shut down temporarily,

Covid has added so many layers of process to everything and then if you get a runny nose or cough, protocol says stay home. My daughter who works at Ottawa Childrens Hospital, has had to stay home 3 times due to symptoms and get a Covid test each time. And worry and quarantine from her family until she gets the results. Fortunately she has tested negative. She works with kids who are suffering from things like Spina Bifida, readying them to enter the school system. She wears full PPE including N95 and face shield.

Life is stressful and weird these days for people working and not working, havent had a funeral for my Mom who died last year, havent seen my kids since August 2019. A few mail delays are not much to worry about.

I sold a manual on ebay to a guy in Russia. Shipped October 19th. The buyer has been very patient but it seemed to vanish in the system about 12 days in when it left Mississauga. Suddenly today it shows up that it has arrived in Moscow, 3 months and one week after it left here. When I mailed it they said expected delivery date would be December 9th.

The buyer can't even leave me feedback any more, the time allotted for doing that has expired.

Reading through the posts I had an opposite experience recently so sounds like I lucked out. Bought an emblem and taillight lense and was shipped from Calgary to Chilliwack BC Jan. 6. Tracking # said ETA was Jan. 14. Kept checking over next couple days and the ETA was still Jan. 14 and even checked again Jan. 10th and same Jan. 14th date. Working from my home office (Covid impact) as usual and around noon Monday Jan. 11th and knock on the door and low and behold, it's my shipment. It was a small shoe sized box, did that have a effect? Or is the run from Calgary to Vancouver a very expedited route, who knows?

Really quirky lately. Shipment from Saskatoon showed a Jan 27 projected delivery ( tomorrow ) when it shipped. System shows it arrived in Barrie ( 30 miles from me at 12:19am last Saturday ( 23rd ). It now says it'll arrive tomorrow which is the original 27th projected date. It's like they held it up 30 miles away just so the system would be correct.
