EXPLORING THE CANADIAN-BUILT PONTIACS...


 I am not sure if this article was ever posted before.

But let's face it.

We are all about to have more reading time coming up.

Unique Canadian-built Pontiacs continued through 1970. I photographed this Canadian-built 70 Pontiac in 2014 at the POCIs National Convention held in Wichita, Kansas.  Its not often that we find the numbers-matching 454-ci big-block Chevrolet V8 stuffed under the hood of a full-size 70 Pontiac!

 Yup, those photos were taken while I owned the car and drove it down to Wichita KS.   It ran like a dream at 80 mph there and back.

It's in Germany.   I sold it to a fellow here in Calgary, who upgraded it to disc brakes & power steering.    He sold it to the fellow in Germany.   However I'm in regular contact with him, as the car is somewhat foreign to him.

 Thanks for refreshing my memory... I'm sure I've asked you before, so my apologies.

Too bad it ended up overseas as it's a car with significance in the Canadian market, and it's one that I could see myself being a caretaker for, but that's how it goes.  Timing is everything.  At least it is in the hands of somebody who appreciates it for what it is!
