Timing lights

Anybody have a good one for sale, or can recommend a good one to buy? Remember, I'm retired without a pension, I can't buy one off the Snap-On truck!

Haha ha... try to buy one! Have 2 good old ones. Sears one with degree wheel and a Mack one I bought at a swap meet a few years ago. Maybe post on fb marketplace if no members have one for sale. Like anything old.. getting hard to find! Can sell you my Mack one... but shipping would kill it.

I suppose that I should upgrade also. I still use my Herbrand timing light that I bought in the 70s. Many havent heard of Herbrand but at one time they were as popular as Snap-On.

I checked Amazon last night actually but I wasn't that impressed, it all looked like Chinese junk. Most of them had the same thing in the reviews, spark plug wire clamp is junk, broke after very little use, light is so dim you can hardly see it, flashes part of the time etc.

I think I'd rather buy an American made old school used light.

You cant beat American made. My Herbrand is over forty years old with an inductive pickup. I lent it to a buddy once and he called and said it didnt work. I said is the switch on six or twelve volts? The response was what! Whoever heard of a six or twelve volt timing light.

My Dad bought me my first tool box (used) when I started as an apprentice in fall 1964.

Snap-On box full of Snap-On and Herbrand and they are still in use today as is the Snap-On box......smile......thanx Dad.
