just a thought re
The Boeing 737 Max is set to carry US passengers for the first time in nearly two years on Tuesday,
why not make all the Boeing execs and FAA clowns fly on this plane for the next 3 months, then decide

I heard one of them had an engine failure shortly after takeoff last week. Normally this wouldn't get reported but... 737..

Thing is, if you fly in Canada, you'll likely be on a max before long.

I can imagine what I'd be thinking about while getting seated and belted in one....

Men and machines can be overdeveloped. Doing so can end in tears for both. If you'd read everything I've read about it you'd agree it should have been scrapped.

In my every day life I'm a Vacation planner. We received the communication from American long before it was announced to the public but at the same time we were told that if we had any customers scheduled to fly on the 737 Max 8, they would have the choice to change flights for free or cancel. Here's the link followed by the communication. Personally, I would wait at least a couple of years before flying on this version of a 737 (Air Canada & Westjet have them.)

Providing you flexibility

Though we've taken every safety measure, we understand you may want to wait to fly on a 737 MAX. Thats why well be clear during booking and allow flexibility, so you always have a choice. We will:

  • Identify 737 MAX flights when you book online or on the app
  • Notify you if there's an aircraft swap due to a schedule change
  • Allow flexible rebooking when the aircraft changes to a 737 MAX

Rebooking

If youve booked a flight on a 737 MAX and would like to change, you can:

  • Rebook on the next available flight, in the same cabin, for free
  • Cancel for a travel credit on a future flight
  • Change your trip within 300 miles for no extra charge
