Dupli-Color Bed Armor Review

Crap. Pure crap. I'm not amused. I sprayed this on the new rockers I welded in to our son in law's truck hoping for something tough to resist chips. Paint would have been tougher than this stuff.

Don't waste your money on this stuff thinking it will be anything like spray in bed liner material.

That was easy to review.

Good to know,  ive never tried it, and now i definetly wont!

Go with any brand of "rocker guard"  the paintable kind.   I really like dominion sure seal, or Evercoat brands.  rocker guard or gravel guard,  as long as its paintable,  good stuff,  it comes in black and amber color depending on color of truck.

It's in an aerosol, or do you have to thin it and shoot it with a gun?

the stuff i use is in an aerosol.   any of these are good, sometimes its gravel guard, sometimes undercoat, but just be sure it is paintable, some undercoats are not.

i also notice that rondex has thier house brand that i have used, just as good, i think its packaged by evercoat, also can tire house is good too, its all the same stuff, but like i say just be sure it says paintable, otherwise its going to be like tar and gooey.

There is a two part "roll-on" box liner that requires two coats but is AWESOME !! Looks professional. Can also be tinted however... the more you tint it (adding paint), the more it becomes like paint.
Will turn flat (sheen) over time in the sun (couple years).

Rondex, Chase have it... I will try to get the brand name. NOT CHEAP but GOOD.

Thanks for the tip. I was gonna use this for the rockers on a 4x4 project. I'll definitely stay away.

You can easily gouge this stuff with your fingernail. I can't even imagine how that would be in a truck bed....

My only thought is that maybe 24 hours isn't enough cure time but it's had that time plus more with fans blowing on it.

Roll on is fine, it's only rocker panels. And price is second most important of course. I want a GOOD product, the price is next in importance. Appearance is down the list, this is a gravel road truck that seldom sees a wash job cry
