I like it!  I had a '76 Nova back in my university days, but with a six. Tough as nails and actually handled pretty well for what it was.

You could just drive this one as is and have fun with it. Wonder how hard those bumper fillers are to get nowadays?

Would probably be a good candidate for an LS implant too.

I'm wondering how much body flex would be an issue where it's a hatchback, if you are adding big horsepower - that's a large opening with no bracing.  Though I suppose if you're running 10 seconds you probably need a cage as well, so problem solved, you could stiffen up the structure with a proper cage.

 Definitely run a cage, NHRA wants one under 11 seconds if I recall correctly.

Also I don't think these are full frame so proper frame connectors would be in order.

Very tempting as I'm 25 mins from Grand Bend and several buddies race there regularly....smile
