Some progress. New chev cowl section has a few things not the same but for the most part it fits excellent

Just do like Dougie! Squint with 1 eye...pound a beer and through a dart.  Nothing like a shifter between the legs....... biggrin  on a side note.  Can you measure from frame mounts as they are on frame and body

????

Just need one Kevin, it's the same for either one. Thankfully, the way the setup is, there's a little bit of forgiveness in the placement.

To get the z bar and tunnel cutout spot on, I actually hung my gutted M20 with bell housing in the car.

All the zbar, engine mounts, transmission mounts, were the same reference points in all my x frames and the 63 corvette. The transmissions and bellhousings all have the same reference points, probably for t350, pg, maybe T400. 409, 283, 350, 327, 396, 427, 454, likely many other combos. Until you got into 4 speed automatic and maybe 5 speed manual. I dont know newer stuff at all but Id say you are mostly safe on these things into the late 70s on full size, with few exceptions.

Kevin, while I think of it, remember to cut the new hole in the firewall for the 4 speed speedometer cable NOW!!!

Also for the factory tach wire.

That speedo cable hole is a brute to make with an engine in the car. As they say, ask me how I know.

They are here somewhere, I'll find them. There's a dimple on the firewall.
