For my 66 Grande, in Alberta at the time, we had 7 spaces to use so I chose:

66GRAND

I have almost that much money in it so it seemed appropriate (heh heh)

Get a custom plate frame made.
Top MADE IN CANADA
Bottom 4 SPEED 427

Fake 66 is taken on CP but may be available as an ON plate, but youd spend all your time explaining it?

I like those suggestions that are related to the rare items your car will have, a 427 is well know to GM and other people. L72 not so well known/famous. A 4 speed in the big cars is very rare.

In my car, I explain all the time the 409 and the 4 speed are not original to this car but were a factory option.

I was having the same thoughts about using L72. Heck even I'd have to go look it up.
Similar thoughts to above on GP being interpreted as Grand Prix
427 and 4spd or 4gear everyone will know.

Top 3 are all good, bottom 3 look fake.

Who would ever run "FAKE_66" for a plate...............

I've been pondering 4SPD427 for a long time. Now you have me motivated to apply for it. I think that will be my next plate, as long as they approve it.

They say slogans will be denied if "speed related" so I'm wondering in today's politically correct world if they will let me flaunt my car's Muncie on a plate...

However, in the 80's my 427 Grande Parisienne plate was 4SPEED, so not sure....

On our way to POCI North Carolina in 1986 when we crossed the border the customs officer asked which kind of speed I was implying with the plate! I had to explain it had nothing to do with narcotics and was for the transmission in the car!
