Are the 69 / 70 disc brake spindles different than the drum brake ones?

They are different, but only at the bracket mounting boss.

Measurement below shows the distance off the spindle flat to the upper caliper bracket bolt of a disc spindle. It's 1 9/16".

This spindle is the same 69-70 Impala or 69-82 Corvette.

A 69-70 Impala drum spindle has a taller mounting boss. I suspect it could be machined down and tapped to the 1 9/16" seen above, and you'd have yourself a disc spindle.

You can see that tall drum boss on the right image. Pre 69 small bearing drum spindle shown.

69/70  B body disc brake spindles will interchange with 69 - 82 Corvette.  Its the 69/70 rotors that are hard to find .

Rotors are actually available now. Centric 120 62066.

Use a 69/70 drum hub, Dorman 610-259 studs, C3 rotors and you are also covered.

It's the 69/70 Splash shields, Caliper brackets and Calipers (in that order) that can be pretty to tough to find.

The shield seals? I just trace the old ones out on some thin cork/neoprene gasket sheet and cut my own. I have a roll of it.

The seals are the same as 63 - 82 Corvette.

Corvette America used to sell them by the pair, but now individually.

Part # 34060  63 - 82 Front Brake Splash Shield Gasket.  They're a perfect fit.

There's got to be a Corvette Restoration place nearby that you can get them at.
