They say it can be done. Can do the mirror image as well. He's digitizing it right now and will get back to me.
I'd assume you guys might be interested in this tech, so I'll keep everyone in the loop on this. The hope is to make more than a few right and left sides available.

Not that I think the part number will help find any but it looks like 4427888 and 4427889 are the two pieces you're hunting. They don't have them illustrated in the parts book but if you put that number in google you'll see Wiki listing the parts page for 65-66 sedan (Chevrolet).

Big shoutout and thanks to Don (bigdreams) for snagging me two metal corner trims from a 65 Impala 4 door sedan, obviously well on it's way to the mill (images). Thank you Don!
Ahhh! There IS a slight difference between the metal 4 door and plastic 2 door part...the screw hole is in a slightly different spot between the two. Shape is identical though. I bet they would interchange with no mods anyway. I'll make them work.
Same headliner, rear surround trim and rear glass and package tray on the 65-66 Sedans, so why the different corners? Perhaps the roof at the sail panels were styled a little different? Slightly wider/narrower?
But if need be, it's always an easy fix when you deal with metal isn't it...
Plastic top,
Easy restore? Look at that green paint under the decklid, shame!
With the screw hole being in a slightly different spot....should be easy to remedy. Just drill a new hole in the lower inside trim to accommodate the difference.
