Yes, there is hesitancy. I guess we have the right to say no, I am not taking it ...........or no, I don't want the shot, etc. Some ppl are concerned about the carrier in the vaccine itself and not so much the actual virus proteins so its a mixed bag of reasoning. Some hesitancy is religious based and some political but its a topic that can end up like being a no win political discussion as once you go down that rabbit hole, you are going to end up going around in circles.

Some ppl have mild symptoms if they contract covid, while it can kill others. Your body's immune system is the best defense mechanism you have, but it has to be able recognize the covid virus to be able to attack it. Only really two ways to set your immune system up for that and such as:

1) get a shot or 2) get exposed to covid or one its variants and pray you survive.

As I indicated in an other post, use google scholar to research information. Also cross reference and read the articles being quoted dont take the posters word for it just because its what you want to believe. A single sentence taken out of context can offer a very different view of the original intent of the article.

I had my first shot of AstraZeneca a month ago, waiting for my second. The blood clot thing is so rare it doesnt concern me. Being in my 60s the Covid virus is probably a bigger threat.

Im worried about the anti-vaccine movement. Its not based on fact, even though tonnes of internet sites will tell you otherwise. It seems to end up being part of peoples belief system. Once you Google it or search on YouTube or other search tool, then follow the anti vaccine links, all the suggested sites will lead you to more of the same. Anything to keep you clicking. And you go down the rabbit hole. Pretty soon, everything you see only confirms the hoax.

I have the choice not to wear a seat belt in my car or helmet on my motorcycle. I can choose just to keep paying fines. I really only endanger my own health (and maybe our health care system) by making those choices. Still, the government can legislate them. What about vaccines where my choice not to get vaccinated could ot only kill me, cost the health care system a bundle, lead directly to the death of another person, and by allowing myself to be a potential virus incubator, could lead to an even more deadly mutation of the virus?

After what weve been through and spent to keep people safe, I say make vaccines mandatory for everyone unless they have a valid medical reason not to.

Or, any non-vaccinated person attributed as the source of exposure to anyone else should be held responsible. You can choose not to be vaccinated, but if anyone gets sick or dies from being exposed to you, you should be fair game to the personal injury lawyers.

I'll wait on getting anything as I feel this in not a vaccine like any other we have had in that it does not use any of the "dead" virus and I feel its not really been proven properly as it was pushed through to fast. That being said I have never had a vaccine for anything unless you count the one tetanus shot I have had. I've had only half of a sick day in 30 years so have never thought I had the need for a shot. I just don't understand why a shot if I can still get the virus and can still spread the virus, I get a covid test every 14 days for work and have been told that will not change if I get the shot, There have been 10 deaths in people that have had the shot in Manitoba alone so I guess they were not protected like they thought they were.
It's none of my business if friends get or don't get the shot so we have decided to not discuss it when we talk as it just causes an argument. It's still a personal choice for everyone.

My 2 cents. Please stay safe I like reading all the posts you guys put out there, it's my evening entertainment when i'm working up north.

I think the risk of getting Covid is much higher than the risk of a side effect from a vaccine. Even the astra Zeneca has been given to 20 million plus with 6 who have had clots?

If you are in an area where people do not follow the masking and distancing rules, consider getting it. My humble opinion only.
